Amman, April 29 (Petra) -- His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces, on Wednesday visited the rocket launchers battalion of the army's artillery. Upon arrival, King Abdullah reviewed a guard of honor, inaugurated new buildings of the battalion and unveiled a commemorative plaque. The King was briefed in the presence of Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. General Mashal Zaben, on the battalion's tasks and duties as well as armaments in use. King Abdullah also toured the battalion and viewed some of its vehicles and weapons and listened to a detailed briefing on their work and uses.
